Community Initiatives

Community Initiatives

OCCF has multiple initiatives outside of our grantmaking, convening, and community leadership roles in Orange County. We strive to connect those who care with those who need and the following initiatives are examples of those connections happening in our community.

Workforce Development Initiative

Inspired by projections of 17,000 middle-skills jobs to become available in Orange County over the next decade, OCCF launched a Workforce Development Initiative in 2019 to help graduating high school seniors, disconnected older youth and underemployed young adults acquire the skills and credentials needed to secure in-demand, high-quality jobs aligned with the needs of local employers.

OC Opportunity Initiative

The OC Opportunity Initiative is a collaboration of regional funders dedicated to improving the lives of immigrants in Orange County in partnership with nonprofits to provide legal services, outreach, and education to local immigrant communities.

OC Veterans Initiative

The Orange County Veterans Initiative (OCVI) aligns donors, businesses and community leaders to focus on three critical areas of need identified in the report: transitioning to civilian life, employment readiness and job skills, and health with an emphasis on mental health needs.

ACT Anaheim

A robust community partnership is changing the lives of Anaheim youth and charting a course for its next generation of leaders. Accelerate Change Together (ACT) Anaheim is a collaboration among business, community and nonprofit leaders addressing gaps in services for at-risk youth.
