OCCF first challenged Orange County residents to “give where their heart lives” during the inaugural iheartoc Giving Day in 2015. It was our 25th anniversary gift to our community. The goal of the countywide day of giving was to inspire residents to show their love for local nonprofits by donating to their favorite charities or causes via iheartoc.org.

OCCF’s Collaborative Giving Days use an online giving model to match local donors to Orange County nonprofits with shared missions – from homelessness and workforce development to preserving ecosystems and supporting local veterans – to create momentum on a single shared day and leverage combined outreach efforts.

MOMENTUM FOR GOOD

Give Where Your Heart Lives

Collaborative Giving Days focus attention on each group of nonprofits with a shared interest who work together to increase their impact. With an amplified online presence through Giving Day websites and social media campaigns, nonprofits are increasing the number of people reached and the awareness of needs for a specific cause or group. A collaborative giving event can ignite a widespread spirit of philanthropy that lasts far beyond the day itself.
