As the first executive vice president and chief operating officer of the Orange County Community Foundation (OCCF), Tammy Tumbling brings over two decades of experience in corporate citizenship, utility operations and customer service to the position.

Tammy is responsible for providing strategic direction and oversight for the Philanthropic Strategy, Marketing & Communications, Center for Engaged Philanthropy, Donor Relations & Programs, Information & Technology, Human Resources and Business Continuity Planning work teams at OCCF. She is also responsible for developing and implementing operational strategies to result in increased capacity to sustain OCCF growth, maximized use of technology and an enhanced donor experience.

In her role of EVP & COO, Tammy also serves as a change agent and a thought partner for the President and Board leadership on execution of OCCF’s strategic goals. Tammy is the founder of OCCF’s African American Alliance Fund, which was developed to raise awareness about systemic racism and support programs that advance African Americans within Orange County and surrounding communities. The fund provides grant funds for services in the areas of education, health, human services, economic and civic engagement, and professional development as well as serve as a partner and convening space to raise and amplify the voices of Orange County’s Black community.

Tammy joined OCCF from Southern California Edison (SCE), where she held roles in utility operations, customer service, corporate citizenship, and philanthropy. Prior to her tenure at SCE, Tumbling spent nearly a decade in the nonprofit sector at the Music Center of Los Angeles and the United Way of Greater Los Angeles.

Tammy earned her Master of Arts degree in Public Administration and Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration/Computer Information Systems from California State University Dominguez Hills. Tammy enjoys spending her free time with family and friends while serving her community as a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated and The Links, Incorporated.
