Available Scholarships

Scholarship funds are established by local individuals, families, businesses and organizations. They provide tuition assistance and financial support to new and continuing college students, and many offer renewable awards.

Countywide Opportunities

AVID Scholarship – Orange County graduating high schools seniors who participated in the AVID program. Apply

Hispanic Education Endowment Fund – Orange County graduating high school seniors and community college transfers. Apply

Special Programs

Big Canyon Country Club Scholarship Program – Big Canyon Country Club employees and their children or grandchild.

Frank and Ruth Bila Scholarship – Orange County students pursuing a career in the restaurant or hotel management field. Apply

Lee Brennan Memorial Scholarship – Graduating high school senior from Aliso Niguel High School active in athletics or active participant of a U.S. Southern Pacific Association Diving Team Apply

Orange County Centennial Scholarship – Orange County graduating high school senior awarded based upon the merit of the student’s academic achievements, abilities in the arts, or intention to complete a certificate program at a vocational or technical school. Apply

Robert C. and Lillian DuSoe Scholarship – Graduating high school seniors of Laguna Beach Unified School District or Santa Ana Unified School District pursuing a degree in writing or music. Apply

Brad Evans Scholarship – Graduating high school senior from the Newport-Mesa Unified School District who will attend the University of California, Berkeley. Apply

The F. Dennis & Sharon Flynn Memorial Fund – Graduating high school senior from San Clemente High School and Dana Hills High School who plans to pursue an undergraduate degree at a Catholic or Jesuit College or University.

Jessica Lynn Herman Memorial Scholarship – Graduating high school senior from the Huntington Beach High School District with a passion for both the sciences and humanities and demonstrated commitment to mentoring or tutoring. Apply

Michael A. Hunter Memorial Scholarship – Leukemia/Lymphoma patients or survivors, or children of non-surviving Leukemia/Lymphoma patients. Apply

Eric Dostie Memorial College Scholarship – Hemophilia or similar bleeding disorder patients or family members. Apply

Jennie V. and Marie Cook Scholarship – Continuing students pursuing degrees in Engineering, Health Science (includes nursing and medicine), or Science who are currently enrolled at: UC Irvine, UC San Diego, UCLA, UC Riverside, CSUF, CSULB, California Institute of Technology, or Occidental College. Apply

Margaret E. Oser Foundation Scholarship – Southern California women enrolled in community college and transferring to a 4 year college or university. Apply

Math, Science, and Arts Scholarship – Graduating high school senior from San Clemente High School who plans to study math, science or art. Apply

The Pacific Club Scholarship Fund  – The Pacific Club employees and their spouses, children, or grandchildren. Apply

Shady Canyon Golf Club Scholarship Fund – Shady Canyon Golf Club employees and their children or dependents. Apply

Ware Malcomb Foundation – Ware Malcomb employees and their children or dependents. Apply

James L. Warner Educational Fund Scholarship – Graduating high school seniors from the Whittier Union High School District who will attend Pomona College, Whittier College, University of Southern California, Stanford University or any campus of the University of California. Apply

Charles H. and Ethel E. Wolfe Scholarship – Orange County graduating high school senior. Apply

John R. Wooden Scholarship – Graduating high school senior from Corona Del Mar High School, Costa Mesa High School, Estancia High School, or Newport Harbor High School who demonstrates strength of character. Apply

Educational Partner Awards

Andrews Family Scholarship – Graduating High School Senior from Newport Harbor High School who is a member of the NHHS Sailing Team. Awards made by Newport Harbor High School.

Cecil McKay “Doc” Rood Scholarship – Graduating high school senior from Huntington Beach High School.

Georgia H Spooner Performing Arts Jrs Scholarship – Orange County graduating High School Seniors who have been active in the arts. Awards made by Segerstrom Center for the Arts.

Gladys M. Kennedy and William L. Kennedy Educational Scholarship – Graduating High Schools Seniors from Laguna Hills High School and Aliso Niguel High School. Awards made by Laguna Hills High School and Aliso Niguel High School.

The Junior League of Orange County Educational Scholarship Fund – Graduating high school senior or post-secondary student. Awards made by the Junior League of Orange County.

New Opportunities For Employment Through Retraining Scholarship – Individuals returning to the workforce or advancing their careers through education and job skills. Awards made by California State University, Fullerton through the WoMen’s Center Re-Entry program.

Santa Ana 2000 Scholarship Fund/Santa Ana Future’s Fund – Individuals enrolled at Santa Ana College. Awards made by the Santa Ana College Foundation.

Walter A Snell and Maureen Medberry Awards Endowed Fund – Individuals pursuing a degree in Liberal Arts or Education. Awards made by partner universities: Vanderbilt University and the University of Iowa.

Swayne Family Memorial Scholarship Fund – Graduating High School Senior who has participated at the Boys and Girls Club of Central Orange Coast or the Boys and Girls Club of Laguna Beach. Awards made by Boys and Girls Club staff.

THINK Together “Good to Great” Scholarship – Graduating High School Senior or THINK Together College Mentee who has participated in a THINK Together after-school program. Awards made by THINK Together.

TK Foundation Maritime Scholarship – Individuals interested in pursuing a career in the maritime industry. Awards made by partner maritime universities: California State University Maritime Academy, State University of New York, Maine Maritime Academy, and Massachusetts Maritime Academy.
