Tammy Tumbling

President

Tammy Tumbling brings more than two decades of leadership experience in management, corporate citizenship, utility operations, and customer service to her role as President of the Orange County Community Foundation (OCCF). She has been part of the OCCF team since 2019, including nearly five years of executive leadership as the organization’s inaugural Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer.

In her role as President, Tammy led the development and launch of Vision 2030, OCCF’s new five-year strategic plan designed to guide the organization’s growth, deepen its community impact, and strengthen its partnership with donors. Working closely with the CEO, Board of Governors, and staff, she helped chart a bold, future-focused roadmap that aligns OCCF’s mission with the evolving needs of Orange County.

Vision 2030 is anchored by four strategic pillars: Amplified Giving, focused on inspiring greater and more impactful philanthropy; Donor Engagement, which elevates OCCF’s role as a trusted partner and strategic advisor; Community Impact, leveraging deep local knowledge to unite partners and drive meaningful change; and Operational Excellence, ensuring OCCF maintains the highest standards of stewardship, innovation, and organizational performance. Tammy oversees strategic planning, operational execution, and continuous improvement across all business areas—including the financial oversight and stewardship of $820 million in assets, asset growth, donor engagement, communications, community engagement, innovation & technology, people & culture, and risk management.

A champion of diversity, equity, and inclusion, Tammy is the founder of OCCF’s African American Alliance Fund, which provides grants to Black-led and Black-serving nonprofits across education, health, human services, economic and civic engagement, and professional development.

Prior to joining OCCF, Tammy held leadership roles at Southern California Edison (SCE) and spent nearly a decade in the nonprofit sector with The Music Center of Los Angeles and the United Way of Greater Los Angeles. She holds a Master of Arts in Public Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration/Computer Information Systems from California State University, Dominguez Hills. Tammy enjoys time with family and friends and serves her community as a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.
