Savannah Benton

Savannah Benton joins the Orange County Community Foundation as Assistant Director of Community Impact, bringing a decade of experience in grantmaking, community investment, and cross-sector partnership building to advance OCCF’s Vision 2030 initiatives across Orange County.

Most recently, Savannah served as Senior Director of Development and Communications at Safe Place for Youth, managing external relations, development, and marketing strategy to support the organization’s mission of ending youth homelessness. Before that, she spent six years at Heart of Los Angeles, where she partnered with organizational leadership and local stakeholders to advance educational equity across the city through strategic scholarship fund development, individual giving, and community investment. She is also a Fulbright Fellowship recipient and worked alongside the Malaysia-American Commission on Educational Exchange in Perlis, Malaysia.

Savannah earned her Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from the University of Rochester, where she proudly competed as a member of the Yellowjacket’s varsity volleyball team. She is passionate about trust-based philanthropy and the impact that can be made by convening dedicated people around thoughtful, shared goals.
