Irvine, CA (October 6, 2025) – The Orange County Community Foundation (OCCF) proudly celebrates the 10th anniversary of its iheartOC Giving Days, marking a decade of transformative philanthropy that has collectively raised nearly $35 million in support of local nonprofit missions.

This initiative, which began as a single countywide day of giving in 2015, has blossomed into a year-long series of Giving Days. It unites donors and nonprofits in a concerted effort to tackle the most pressing needs in Orange County. Giving Day contributions have benefited 1,545 local nonprofits dedicated to supporting the region’s most vulnerable populations. This milestone anniversary not only commemorates past success but reflects a growing momentum for local giving. In 2025 alone, the iheartOC Giving Days mobilized support from over 7,963 donors, resulting in a remarkable $4.3 million in support for local nonprofits.

"Orange County’s generous heart never ceases to amaze me," said Shelley Hoss, OCCF’s chief executive of 25 years. " OCCF’s mission to transform our community’s heartfelt intention into greater impact for good is perfectly reflected in our Giving Days, demonstrating the impact we can achieve by working together for good."

OCCF’s iheartOC Giving Days utilize an online platform to connect local donors with nonprofits sharing aligned missions. This approach fosters collaboration on issues such as homelessness, workforce development, ecosystem preservation, and support for at-risk youth.  2025 Giving Days yielded a total of $4,372,308, distributed among a range of important causes:

“The success of our 2025 Giving Days underscores the strength of collaboration and the remarkable impact we can create when we unite our efforts,” said Carol Ferguson, senior director of donor and community engagement at the Orange County Community Foundation. “As we strive to build on this momentum, we are motivated by the generosity and commitment of our community members who are devoted to making a difference.”
