Berchtold Capital Partners
Michael Berchtold, CEO of Orange County-based Berchtold Capital Partners, is a corporate advisor and private investor with more than 25 years of experience in finance and investment banking. From 1987 to 2007, Berchtold worked for Morgan Stanley in a variety of investment banking roles in New York, Los Angeles, Tokyo, Singapore and Hong Kong. He was based in Asia from 1990 to 2006, most recently serving as Morgan Stanley’s head of Investment Banking for Asia Pacific between1999 and 2006 and President of Asia Pacific from 2002 until 2006. He currently serves on the UCLA Anderson School of Management Board of Visitors and is a founding member of the school’s Center for Global Management Advisory Board. Berchtold is past president of the Board of Trustees of St. Margaret’s Episcopal School in San Juan Capistrano and is a former member of the Board of Trustees of Sage Hill School in Newport Coast. He graduated from UCLA with a B.A. in history and an M.B.A. from the Anderson School of Management.
