OCCF Commits $345,000 in ReachOut OC 2012 Support for
Local Veterans and Struggling Families

Help Us Reach Out to Our Neighbors in Greatest Need!

Vulnerable Children and Families
Critical needs persist for thousands of Orange County families even four years after the economic crisis. Many residents continue struggling to provide basics like food, shelter and medical care for themselves and their children.

Local Veterans
Challenges have also grown for military families. With limited support available in transitioning from military to civilian life, many soldiers return home without the skills needed to provide the same staples for their children.

For the past three years, OCCF has responded to the critical needs the economic downturn has brought to our community through ReachOut OC. Thanks to an outpouring of generosity by donors and community members, nearly $2 million has been delivered to Orange County nonprofits providing food, shelter, healthcare, back-to-work and other safety-net services to those struggling most.

Still, needs persist, affecting the quality of life for local families and the men and women who have served our country. This year we are supporting Orange County nonprofits that help these two populations with employment support, access to healthcare and food, housing and safety services through ReachOut OC 2012.

ReachOut in support of children, families and local veterans in need.
We invite you to join the Orange County Community Foundation in this important effort to bring critical services to struggling neighbors. OCCF has committed $345,000 to ReachOutOC 2012. Your contribution will be leveraged by OCCF’s funding, enabling an even greater response for struggling children, families and local veterans.

OCCF is underwriting all administrative expenses for this program so 100 percent of your contribution will be delivered directly to local nonprofit organizations helping our neighbors in greatest need.

Contributions accepted April 18 - June 1. Grantees will be approved by OCCF Board on June 20.
