We make it easy for donors to grant effective and enduring gifts to charitable organizations in Orange County, across the U.S. and around the world. Since our inception, we have awarded cumulative grants of $155 million. In addition, we partner with professional advisors who counsel their clients on estate and legacy plans.

We support philanthropy.
We help strengthen local nonprofit agencies with financial support and training programs. With more than $120 million in charitable assets, the Community Foundation provides grants from The Orange County Endowment and discretionary funds as well as from donor-advised funds. In fiscal 2009, $21.3 million was granted to nonprofit organizations and deserving students. The Community Foundation also provides training and workshops for local nonprofit management and board members to help them increase capacity and sustainability.

We help professional advisors help their clients make smart, informed charitable investment decisions. Every day, the county’s top lawyers, financial planners, and CPAs turn to us when navigating even the most complex tax and estate plans. Whether it’s planning a gift of real estate, setting up a legacy fund or establishing a family foundation, our experienced gift planning department is responsive and well informed. We are facilitating philanthropy that will positively impact our community today, tomorrow and forever.
